Finally.. FINALLY!!!... its DONE!!
this is the "biggie" i've been workin on for more than 2 weeks!!
At one point i thought that this wont get finished... even thought of abandonin it halfway, but i knew once i stop doin this.. i'll never be able to go back and finish it up
So i stuck to it.. and kept workin.. and workin.. and workin!
My friends thought i was mad to take such a mammoth task up.. i mean yeah.. this is crazy!
but i wanted to push myself.. and after hours upon hours of hard work.. here it is..
I present you.. Leader of the Autobots... the one and only
OPTIMUS PRIME!!!!!!!!!
after watchin Dark Of the Moon.. this had to come!!

materials used - iBall pentab, photoshop cs3 and macromedia flash
time taken - approx 36 hrs o__O

Cant believe i actually finally did it... this artwork was really painstakin!!
psst... the background.. i just copied and pasted straight from the original poster.. i did not have the strenght to do that as well.. so yeah.. the bg is not drawn!!

Anyway.. i hope ya all like this..

with a pentab on photoshop
i create diff layers.. one for the line art, one(or more in some cases) for colors and another for the background...
I do a lot of smudgin to bring the desired effects and sometimes add a separate layer for lighting.

So on a typical painting session, how many layers to you usually end up with? I'd imagine quite a lot unless you merge them during the process

well i dont really like usin too many layers coz it irritates me..
for this one i used 5 layers - pure black lineart, a color layer, a lighting layer, bg layer and an effects layer
